Roatán is one of Honduras’s Caribbean Bay Islands. The island holds the Caribbean’s largest barrier reef, the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef. Lying just offshore, it's a favorite spot for divers & snorkelers to see colorful corals & a lot of different marine life. There are many things to do once exiting the ship, including wandering through Carambola Botanical Gardens in Sandy Bay, visiting the Gumbalimba Preservation Park, where you may see parrots, iguanas, & monkeys that live in the wild. You can also snorkel the crystal clear waters to see the stunning coral reefs in the beautiful bays. You could also participate in the Extreme Caribe Zip Line Tour to experience a breathtaking adventure on the island. Or you could simply just hang out on the beautiful white sandy beach.
